My name is Jean-François Arsenault, and I was born in Montreal, Canada. I consider myself a pacifist at heart.
From an early age, I developed a deep appreciation for art and creative expression. Over the years, I have explored various artistic mediums, including ink drawing and music.
During my first journey to China in 2006, I discovered a new passion: photography. That experience also awakened a profound curiosity about Asian cultures, their traditions, and their people.
Photography has since become my preferred form of artistic expression. Through my lens, I seek to capture the beauty, contrasts, and emotions that make each place unique.
My travels have taken me to China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand. Each journey has left a lasting impression on me. Beyond the landscapes and architecture, it is the encounters with people, the richness of their cultures, and the moments of everyday life that have deepened my understanding of these places and enriched my experience as a photographer.
This collection of photographs is my way of sharing those experiences, impressions, and emotions with you.
I hope that, through these images, you will discover a little of the wonder I have felt along the way.
